
Lesly D’Ambola, D.O
Lesly D’Ambola, D.O. has been a member of the board of the SJCMG since its inception. A practicing Catholic internist, Dr. D’Ambola attended St. Joseph’s University, and subsequently graduated from the UMDNJ School of Osteopathic Medicine. During her medical school years, she established the school’s chapter of the Christian Medical and Dental Society. Board certified through the American Board of Internal medicine, she completed her internal medicine training at St. Michael’s Medical Center, in Newark, N.J., training in various associated Catholic hospitals in the Newark Archdiocese. Prior to attending osteopathic medical school, Dr. D’Ambola served as a Jesuit Volunteer in San Jose California as well as worked with a homeless population in Jersey City, New Jersey. She views her medical career as a spiritual calling to serve the poor, as she was inspired to apply to medical school during a retreat at Graymoor in Garrison, New York. Dr. D’Ambola is an attending physician in the extended care division of the Jefferson Health System in Southern New Jersey. Prior positions include working in the medical clinic at St. Michael’s Medical Center and serving as medical director of the currently closed St. Luke’s Catholic Medical Services, which was a ministry of Holy Name of Camden Ministries in Camden, New Jersey. Dr. D’Ambola is a clinical assistant professor of medicine as a member of the volunteer faculty at Rowan University’s School of Osteopathic Medicine. She serves as a delegate for the New Jersey Association of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons, and is a member of the America Osteopathic Association and American College of Physicians.
